A note from the Artist
Every since my childhood I was fascinated with photography. It was probably aided by my Dad always taking pictures and movies of us and developed his own black and white photos. I remember being able to pick out my own Christmas present when I was about 12 and I chose a little point and shoot camera. A few years later, I got a Swinger instamatic camera. That was quite the technology in those days!
It wasn't until about 1981 that I finally got my first SLR---a Canon AE1. Using mostly manual settings, I began learning how to manipulate the outcome of photos. Finally, in 1996, I applied for a job as a candid photographer for Prestige Portraits, a division of Lifetouch Photography. 18 years later, I'm still working for Lifetouch. During that time, I became a high school sports photographer, all activities photographer, and a sports pack photographer. With that I learned to use Nikon SLRs, Bogan lights with big heavy battery packs, light meters, tri-pods, Bronica medium format cameras, and eventually DSLRs. I also bought my own Bronica and then a DSLR when the Canon 10D came out. Since then I've also had the 20D, 30D, and 60D.
Friends and family started asking me to take their wedding and family pictures---then their friends started asking me. I finally decided it was time to get some sort of website online.
I hope you enjoy!
